About Martha
Martha Conan
Artist – Syracuse, NY Pottery
Martha Conan grew up in the heart of Central New York, where three enchanting passions danced and mingled in her heart – the magic of pottery, the call of nature, and the joy of helping others. At just eight years old, Martha discovered the spellbinding world of clay, a world lovingly nurtured by her parents and three siblings. As she molded and shaped her creations, she also embraced the wild freedom of the outdoors. Martha enjoyed waterskiing, swimming, and hiking through her youthful days. Even as she journeyed through the corridors of a Catholic high school and the halls of college, Martha’s love for pottery remained her faithful companion.
Her path led her to Syracuse University, where she delved into the realm of rehabilitation therapy. Now, in the serenity of her beautiful home studio, Martha finds her own inner peace and an artistic haven, where the wild things of her imagination come to life in the clay beneath her hands.
